Get ready for the return of the Gold Coast’s most famous rockabilly and vintage festival this June. Cooly Rocks On 2018 is back to celebrate everything nostalgic about the 40s, 50s, and 60s, and it’s not to be missed for those with a passion for rock and roll, vintage, and retro. Grease your hair back and dig out your old leather jacket for Cooly Rocks On!
Taking place each year in Coolangatta, Cooly Rocks On is one of the annual highlights on the Gold Coast. This unique festival pays homage to one of the most exciting eras of the 20th century, featuring an exciting 5-day program of live music, classic cars, vintage pageants, market stalls, and street parades. This year’s event will see the return of the impressive Show ’n’ Shine, which will see over 1,000 classic cars, vintage motors, old-school camper vans, and custom hot rods line up along the streets of Coolangatta. Miss Cooly Rocks On is also set to make its return, which is a unique pin-up and vintage pageant unlike any other. As with each Cooly Rocks On, there’ll be another fantastic street parade along Marine Parade, featuring floats, cars, market stalls, and live rockabilly music. On top of all that, make sure to catch the Vintage Picnic, Long Board Surfing Competition, and the Billycart Grand Prix!
