Set to mark its 4th event on the Gold Coast, the Melanoma March is the perfect opportunity to raise awareness and show your support for melanoma. Come along and join in the popular annual campaign in Coolangatta, where participants will march a 4 km walk along Coolangatta Beach wearing coloured wristbands for those affected by melanoma. After the march those who participated can return to The Strand in Coolangatta for live entertainment and good food.

At this year’s Melanoma March wear green if you’re facing your own melanoma struggle, orange if you are remembering a loved one, and yellow to show your support for anyone affected by melanoma.

Melanoma is Australia’s most prominent type of cancer that affects the skin. In the last 2 decades the number of melanoma sufferers in Australia has doubled, with 1 in 14 men and 1 in 24 women calculated to be diagnosed with melanoma in their lifetime. Both Australia and New Zealand share the highest melanoma rates in the world. In Australia, melanoma is the most common cancer amongst teenagers and young adults. Show your support for melanoma victims and raise awareness at this year’s Melanoma March.
